GSP-1086
The EPC Model GSP-1086 is an all purpose, continuous image printer. Photographic quality
images are printed across a ten inch thermal printhead by 2048 pixels at 203 DPI. True
gray levels are selectable up to 256.
Two liquid crystal displays show printer status at all times. The software defined control
panel makes the printer easily configured to a wide range of custom applications.
GSP-1086
The GSP-1086 comes standard with an eight-bit parallel and an RS-232 interface. Optional
features include: Dual Channel Analog, High Speed DMA Parallel, Video Capture, and RS-422.
Custom I/O configurations are also available.
The printer's rugged rack-mount/flat-bed design is perfect for any image workstation. The
printer can be outfitted with an optional transport case for field deployment (pictured).
Main Features
 | Dynamic Pixel Compensation
Circuitry that measures the resistance of each of the printhead's pixels on power-up.
The values are compared to a standard and a table of offsets is generated for normalizing
the pixels at print time. |
| EPC Link Modem Control Software
Auxiliary program which automatically calls EPC Labs and downloads field upgrade code
directly to the printer. An external modem is required. |
| Keyboard Interface
Standard keyboard jack allows use of 101 QWERTY keyboard to enter remote commands and
annotation. Commands are echoed to the status LCD. |
| Serial Command Interface
RS232 Serial Input for sending commands or data to the printer at selectable baud
rates. |
| User-definable Message Buffers
Three buffers are provided to store frequently printed messages. The buffers are
written to via the keyboard or the serial interface. Three additional buffers store time,
date and set-up information. |
| Configuration Files
Complete recorder configurations can be saved to one or four configuration files. Any
of the four files can be loaded during operation or can be selected as the power-on
default configuration. |
